This preface describes the objectives, audience, organization, and conventions of the
Cisco MGX 8850 (PXM1E/PXM45), Cisco MGX 8950, Cisco MGX 8830, and Cisco MGX 8880
Configuration Guide.
Objectives
This guide describes how to configure the Cisco MGX 8830, Cisco MGX 8850 (PXM1E/PXM45), and
Cisco MGX 8950 switches and the Cisco MGX 8880 Media Gateway. This guide also describes how to
perform some operating procedures after the switch begins operation.
Audience
The Cisco MGX 8850 (PXM1E/PXM45), Cisco MGX 8950, Cisco MGX 8830, and Cisco MGX 8880
Configuration Guide provides network operators and administrators with configuration procedures for
setting up Cisco MGX 8830, Cisco MGX 8850 (PXM1E/PXM45), and Cisco MGX 8950 switches and
the Cisco MGX 8880 Media Gateway.
