  • Page 27 Cabling the server and accessing the console by using IBM i Access Client Solutions: IBM i Access Client Solutions provides support for connecting to the console of a new system by using a LAN connection. It also provides support for connecting to the console of systems that have been previously configured for a LAN or Hardware Management Console (HMC).
  • Page 28 Cabling the server and accessing Operations Console: You can use Operations Console to manage a server that is running the IBM i operating system whether you have logical partitions or not. However, you must first use an alternative tool to create the logical partitions.
