Print Mode
2. Setting the CP 521 parameters
Store all parameter setting data in the memory submodule in DB 1:
•
Parameters for the printer interface (baud rate, type of interface, BUSY
signal, ...)
•
Configuration data for entering message texts (function character, end-of-
text character)
•
Configuration data for the message text printout (output form for date and
time of day, headers and footers, ...)
Set the memory submodule parameters using a programmer in off-line mode.
3. Configuring message texts
You must configure at least one message text in one of the DBs 2 to 63 in the
memory submodule.
Note:
If you have configured a message text in a DB, you can configure further
message texts later in other DBs and store them also in the memory submodule.
See 6.4 for an explanation of message text configuration.
4. Establishing connections
You must take the following measures when the CPU is in the POWER OFF state:
•
Establish a connection between the CP 521 and the printer.
•
Plug the configured memory submodule into the CP 521.
You can then switch the CPU on (POWER ON).
