  • Page 21 3.6 Operating principle Operating principle The measuring principle of the SIPROCESS UV600 is based on the molecule-specific absorption of gases in the ultraviolet wavelength range. Radiation of a wavelength appropriate to the measurement is passed through the sample, and the selective absorption is determined which is proportional to the concentration of the measured component.

    The device must be installed with the base horizontal. If the SIPROCESS UV600 is installed in a cabinet or desktop housing, it must be supported on rails. It is not sufficient to only secure the front side, since the weight of the device would load the chassis too greatly.
