SPS208G/SPS224G4/SPS2024 Command Line Interface Reference Guide
The spanning-tree mode Global Configuration mode command configures the
spanning-tree protocol. Use the no form of this command to restore the default
configuration.
Syntax
spanning-tree mode {stp | rstp | mstp}
no spanning-tree mode
Parameters
stp — Indicates that the Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) is enabled.
rstp — Indicates that the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) is enabled.
mstp — Indicates that the Multiple Spanning Tree Protocol (RSTP) is
enabled.
Default Configuration
STP is enabled.
Command Modes
Global Configuration mode
User Guidelines
In RSTP mode, the device uses STP when the neighbor device uses STP.
In MSTP mode, the device uses RSTP when the neighbor device uses RSTP and
uses STP when the neighbor device uses STP.
