Switch and Control Setting
First, Perform the same setting as described in "4. Switch and
Control Setting during Adjustment and Checking," on page 3-
3, then perform the following setting:
RF power setting:"H" (= 50 mW)
Procedure
(1) Connect the audio analyzer (level meter) to the AF OUT
connector on the modulation analyzer.
(2) Connect the modulation analyzer to the antenna connec-
tor (CN402) with RF adjusting cable (and RF conver-
sion connector).
Set the modulation analyzer as below;
MEASUREMENT:
MEASUREMENT RANGE: ± 40 kHz (manual)

DE EMPHASIS:
(3) Input 1 kHz, _55 dBV (_52.8 dBm) signal to the AF
input connector (CN301/MB-914 board) with AF input
cable from audio analyzer (oscillator).
(4) Set the audio analyzer to S/N measurement (with A-
weighted filter).
(5) Check that the S/N reading is more than 32dB. (with AF
input connector (CN301/MB-914 board) short-circuited).

3, then perform the following setting:

Procedure
(1) Connect the audio analyzer to the AF OUT connector
on the modulation analyzer.
(2) Connect the modulation analyzer to the antenna connec-
tor (CN402) with RF adjusting cable (and RF conver-
sion connector).
Set the modulation analyzer as below;

(3) Set the audio analyzer to level meter mode.
(4) Input 1 kHz, _55 dBV (_52.8 dBm) signal to the AF
input connector (CN301/MB-914 board) with AF input
cable from audio analyzer (oscillator).
(5) Reads the indication on the audio analyzer (level
meter).
Set the SENSITIVITY on the audio analyzer (level
meter) so that the audio analyzer (level meter) reads 0
dB.
(6) Switch the oscillation frequency for the audio analyzer
(oscillator) from 1 kHz to 100 Hz.
(7) Check that audio analyzer (level meter) reading is +2.0
± 1.0 dB.
(Indication level is +2.0 ± 1.0 dB as compared with the
read level of procedure (5) above.)
