Getting Started

Charging a Battery

Your phone is powered by a rechargeable Li-ion
battery. Use only approved batteries and chargers.
Ask your local SAMSUNG dealer for further details.
N o t e: You must fully charge the battery before using
your phone for the first time. A discharg e d
b a t t e ry is fully re c h a rged in appro x i m a t e l y
9 0 minutes for a slim battery, 130 minutes for a
s t a n d a rd battery.
Using a Travel Adapter
The phone can be used while the battery is charging.
1. Connect the lead from the travel
adapter to the bottom of the
phone. Check that the arrow on
the lead connector is facing
towards the front of the phone.
2. Connect the adapter to a standard AC wall outlet.
When the battery is charging, the battery icon
in the top right-hand corner of the display fills
repeatedly.
3. When charging is finished, disconnect the adapter
from the power outlet.
Disconnect the adapter from the
phone by pressing the grey tabs
on either side of the connector
and pulling the connector out.

N o t e: Do not remove the battery from the phone
while the travel adapter is being connected to
the phone.
Using a DeskTop Cradle
1. Connect the lead from the travel adapter to the
DeskTop Cradle.
2. Align the tabs at the bottom of the battery with
the corresponding slots in the Desktop Cradle and
push the battery down until you hear a click.
3. Connect the adapter to a standard AC wall outlet.
The LED on the charger indicate the following:
Red: the battery is charging.
Green: the battery is fully charged.
Yellow: the battery is not plugged in correctly or
operating at a temperature that is too high
or too low.
4. When charging is finished, disconnect the adapter
from the power outlet.
Push up and hold the catch of the Desktop Cradle
and lift the battery away.
