Electrostatic discharge
NOTICE
Electrostatic Sensitive Devices (ESD)
Electronic modules contain components that can be destroyed by electrostatic discharge.
These components can easily be destroyed or damaged by electrostatic discharge if not
handled properly.
To avoid damage to property, follow the instructions below.
• Discharge your body electrostatically immediately before touching an electronic module.
• Hold modules only by their plastic enclosure.
• Do not bring electronic modules into contact with electrical insulating material, e.g.
• Place the modules on conductive surfaces only.
• Store and transport electronic modules and components only in ESD-safe conductive
The insulating parts of the high-temperature version of the ULTRAMAT 7 and the keyboard
can be electrostatically charged.
When installing the components, observe the measures against electrostatic charging (ESD
Guidelines) and the standard IEC 60079-0 7.4.2 e).
