Chapter 4 Configuring Advanced Settings
TR-069 Client
TR-069 (short for Technical Report 069) is a Broadband Forum) technical
specification entitled CPE WAN Management Protocol (CWMP). It defines an
application layer protocol for remote management of end-user devices. A client
resides on the system facilitates the communication to the network server.
TR069 Client— Select Native (Default) or OSGi.
IP Protocol Preference— Select IPv4 or IPv6 (Default).
Selecting Native for the TR069 Client setting enables the following:
Periodic Inform—Select Enabled (Default) or Disabled.
Periodic Inform Interval— Enter a value in seconds within the range of 10-
86400. The default is 30 seconds.
ACS URL—Enter the URL to access the auto configuration server (ACS).
ACS Username—Enter the user name required to access the ACS.
ACS Password—Enter the password required to access the ACS.
Connection Request Username—Enter the user name for incoming connection
requests.
Connection Request Password—Enter the password for incoming connection
requests.

Diagnostics

The diagnostic tests (Ping and Traceroute) allow you to check the connections of
your network devices, including the connection to the Internet.
Ping Test
IP address or Domain name—Enter the IP address or URL that you want to ping.
Times—Select the number of times you wish to ping: 5, 10, 15, or Unlimited.
Save/Ping—Click this button to begin the test. A new screen will appear and display
the test results.
Traceroute
IP address or Domain name Enter the IP address or URL that you want to do a trace
route.
Save/Traceroute Click this button to begin the test. A new screen will appear and
display the test results.
