4.2.5 The Options Menu
Press the Options key to display a menu, offering the following options:
•
Select Send to send the typed message (See 4.2.2)
•
Select My Status to switch to the My Status tab of the Main Screen (See
3.4).
•
This menu may also contain the option Add to contacts (if your chat-
peer is not a contact of yours), or the option Remove (if your chat-peer is
one of your private contacts). These are equivalent to adding or
removing private contacts, as explained in section 3.5.
4.3 Switching Between Chat Screens
Hiding a Chat screen (by switching to another screen, or switching to another
application altogether) does not terminate the chat session.
To switch back to one of your currently active Chat screens, start by
navigating to the Active Chats tab of the Main Screen (See 2.3). This tab
displays a list of all your current chat-peers.
Use the joystick to scroll through the list, until the user whose chat you wish to
restore is highlighted. Press the joystick, or press the Options key and select
Chat.
The requested Chat screen will reappear, allowing you to view old messages
and send new ones (See 4.2).
If the chat-peer is one of your contacts, you may alternately highlight in the requested contact in the
Contacts tab of the Main Screen and press the joystick. Doing so will not create a new Chat screen,
but restore the already existing one.
When highlighting a chat-peer in the Active Chats tab, the Options menu may also contain either the
option Add to contacts (if your chat-peer is not a contact of yours), or the option Remove contact (if
your chat-peer is one of your private contacts). These are equivalent to adding or removing private
contacts, as explained in section 3.5.
