Usually the DHCP setting is set to ON when you connect your PC to the network.

[Settings]. In the case of a touch panel, display the charms by swiping from the right side of the screen to the center, then select [Settings]. Select Select [SRS-ZR5] from the network list. Display the [Sony Network Device Settings] screen. Launch a browser (Internet Explorer, etc.).

Select [Apply]. Check that the LINK indicator lights up in orange. When the Wi-Fi connection is completed, the LINK indicator lights up in orange. It may take more than a minute for the LINK indicator to light up. The connection is complete. Connect the PC to the wireless router to be used.

For Windows 8.1, click or tap the desktop on the Start screen. Select on the right-bottom of the screen. Select [SRS-ZR5] from the network list. Display the [Sony Network Device Settings] screen. Launch a browser (Internet Explorer, etc.). Enter the following URL in the address bar.

USB flash drive. Sony is not responsible for any loss or damage to data in a USB flash drive that is connected to the speaker. Sony does not guarantee correct operation when a USB hub or USB extension cable is used.
Files imported by x-app. cannot be played back. Connect the Walkman to the AUIDO IN jack of the speaker, and play back these files on the AUDIO IN mode. Sony is not responsible for any loss of data stored in a Walkman that is connected to the speaker. Related Topic...
Help Guide Personal Audio System SRS-ZR5 Connecting to a TV Use a High Speed Type HDMI cable (not supplied) to listen to TV sound from the speaker. Connect a High Speed Type HDMI cable to the HDMI ARC TO TV port on the speaker and the HDMI IN ARC port on your TV.

(power)/ PAIRING button/indicator Press to turn the speaker’s power on and off (standby mode). While the speaker is turned on, press and hold until the beep sounds. The speaker is then in the pairing mode for the BLUETOOTH connection. -/+ (volume) buttons Touch to adjust the volume.
UPDATE indicator Lights up or flashes depending on the status of the speaker's software update. NETWORK indicator Lights up while in the network mode, or depending on the receiving service. BLUETOOTH indicator Lights up or flashes while in the BLUETOOTH mode to indicate the status of the BLUETOOTH connection. HDMI indicator Lights up while in the HDMI mode.

When connecting a bar speaker mounted on a wall to the HDMI ARC TO port, use a High-speed HDMI swivel cable. If the wall mount bracket (not supplied) is not found at your nearest store, ask to the Sony dealer or store where you have purchased this unit.

The BLUETOOTH or network connection then starts. When you turn on the speaker in the BLUETOOTH/Network standby mode, the start-up time becomes shorter and the speaker will become operational sooner, than when you turn on the speaker in the standby mode.
