Changing the Name of a Recorded Program (Title Input) - RW - RW Video The titles recorded on a disc are named sequentially ([Title 1], [Title 2], …) by default. You can rename titles using the display for entering characters, which also appears for renaming a disc.

Erasing and Editing Before Editing This recorder offers various edit options for various disc and title types. Before you edit, check these types and select an available option. Notes • You may lose edited contents if you remove the disc while editing.
In this case, you can select a title or chapter and create a Playlist title. You can even rearrange the scene order within the Playlist title (page 58). z Hint For DVD-RW (VR mode), you can display the disc’s Playlist titles in Title List (Playlist), or the original titles in Title List (Original).
Select a title, and press ENTER. The sub-menu appears with options available for the selected title. [Search]: Displays the search options. [Chapter]: Displays the Chapter List for playback and editing (page 55). [Erase]: Erases the title (page 53). For effects on disc capacity, see page 51.

Notes • Images or sound may be momentarily interrupted at the point where you hide the chapter. • On other Sony DVD equipment, hidden chapters will play without being skipped. Creating chapters manually - RW You can create chapters within a title by inserting chapter marks at the desired points.

Settings and Adjustments Using the Setup Displays By using the Setup Displays, you can make various adjustments to items such as picture and sound, as well as select a language for the subtitles. The Setup Display consists of several levels to set up options.
Recorder Settings (General) The [General] setup helps you to make clock and other settings for the recorder. Select [General] in the Setup Display. To use the display, see “Using the Setup Displays” (page 62). The default settings are underlined. Date Clock Setting TV Type Year...
