    After turning on your LCD projection TV, it may take a while before the picture appears (1 minute or less). When the projection lamp wears out, the screen goes dark. Replace the lamp with a new Sony XL-2100U or XL-2100 (for WE655 series), or XL-2200 (for WF655 series) replacement lamp (not supplied). ✍...

    Electric appliances can cause fire or high temperature, resulting in injury or death. Be sure to follow the instructions below. Use a Sony XL-2100U or XL-2100 (for WE655 series), or XL-2200 (for WF655 series) replacement lamp (not supplied) for replacement.
  • Page 17 Avoid touching the front glass of a new lamp or the glass of the lamp receptacle. This may reduce picture quality or lamp life. Loosen the screws on the rear side panel.   • Page 18 Introducing the Sony LCD Projection TV Remove the front panel. ✍ The front panel cover is securely attached to the cabinet. Pull firmly on the cover in the numbered order (see illustration) with both hands to release it. Pull out the lamp.
  • Page 19 Reattach the front panel securely. Tightly screw the side panel in its place. ✍ Consult your Sony dealer for a Sony XL-2100U or XL-2100 (for WE655 series) replacement lamp. ✍ Take great care when replacing the lamp or plugging in/unplugging the connecting cords.

(The cooling fan will continue to operate for about two minutes after turning the power off.) Wait at least 30 minutes after unplugging the power cord to allow the lamp to cool down before replacing it.
