Deleting FF segment
● When you delete an FF segment in HW Config, observe the following:
– The FF segment and all FF devices configured there will be removed.
– The interconnections with the I/O blocks of the bus link will be removed.
Deleting blocks
● If you want to delete blocks in HW Config, observe the properties of the blocks in the section
"Block model of device parameters (Page 15)".
NOTICE
Deleting default blocks or instantiable blocks
The interconnections to these blocks are removed. Ensure that the desired function is
achieved in the process.
5.2.5
How to configure FF-internal interconnections (Control in the field)
Note
For information about required CiF interconnections, refer to the documentation of the device
manufacturer.
Requirements
● FF devices have been created in the project.
● The signals from the function blocks of the FF devices that you want to interconnect via
CiF are not locked.
Locked inputs or outputs
Inputs or outputs can be locked for the interconnection. Causes:
● The input or output is interconnected internally.
● An I/O address from the process image is already assigned in HW Config for the input or
output. You can find information on this in the section "How to replace an FF device
(Page 39)".
Example for the display:
The following symbol designates a locked input.
