    Lenovo™ Storage D1012/D1024 server-attached Storage Enclosures. The D1012/D1024 enclosures are designed to meet MIL-STD-810G (storage requirements) and European Telco requirements. The D1012/D1024 storage enclosures support a large form factor (LFF 12-disk) 2U chassis and a small form factor (SFF 24-disk) 2U chassis.

    Each enclosure requires two power supply modules for redundancy. If full redundancy is required, use a separate power source for each module.     Components Front panel components Storage Enclosures are used for adding storage to existing systems. The D1012 12-drive enclosure is the LFF Storage Enclosure used for storage expansion. The D1024 24-drive enclosure is the SFF Storage Enclosure used for storage expansion.

    IMPORTANT: The illustration above shows dual ESMs. D1024 and D1012 Storage Enclosures can be configured with single or dual ESMs. If the D1012/D1024 Storage Enclosure is configured with a single ESM, it must be installed in the upper slot, and an ESM blank must be installed in the lower slot. This configuration is required to allow sufficient air flow through the enclosure during operation.

    Lenovo Storage D1012/D1024 Storage Enclosures support these maximum configurations: • Up to eight D1012 Storage Enclosures with12 3.5"drives for a maximum of 96 disk drives. • Up to eight D1024 Storage Enclosures with 24 2.5" drives for a maximum of 192 drives.

    Cooling fan sensors Each power supply includes two fans. The normal range for fan speed is 4,000 to 6,000 RPM. When a fan speed drops below 4,000 RPM, the EMP considers it a failure. The following table lists the description, location, and alarm condition for each fan.

These PSUs power on when connected to a power source, and power off when disconnected.
