Using Encryption

The encryption feature is used with files stored on the
optional microSD™ card to make them readable only
on your device.
To encrypt files stored on a microSD card:
1.
Press
Start > All Programs
.
Security
2.
Select
and press
Encryption
3.
Press
to enable the encryption option and then
press
(left softkey).
Done

Managing Certificates

You can add and delete public key certificates. Three
types of certificates can be created.
To access information about different certificate types:
1.
Press
Start > All Programs

Settings > More... >

Select
and press
Certificates
you can manage the following certificate types:
Used to identify yourself to others.
Personal:
Used to identify intermediate
Intermediate:
certification authorities. (Intermediate certificates
are issued by the trusted root certificate authority,
and any SSL [secure sockets layer] certificates
then issued by the intermediate certificate will
inherit the trust of the trusted root.
Used to identify root certification authorities.
Root:
(A root certificate is the top-most certificate of the
certificate tree. All certificates below the root
certificate inherit the trustworthiness of the root
certificate.)
3.
Select the encryption option and press
the certificate information.
To delete a certificate:
1.
Press
Start > All Programs
Security
.
2.
Select
and press
Certificates
3.
Select any of the three available certificates and
press
to reveal a list of related certificates.
