To avoid the invalidation of your guarantee by mishandling, it is recommended that: You contact your local Sony dealer to install any new internal hardware components. You do not install memory modules yourself, if you are not familiar with upgrading memory on a computer. - Page 68 Upgrading your VAIO computer Position the main unit so the back panel is facing you. Locate the tab on the upper right side of the rear panel, and pull it back until the side cover releases. Lift the side cover away from the unit and set it aside. To add or change a memory module, proceed as follows: Shut down the computer, unplug it, and remove any peripheral devices.
