Attaching a Serial Console Cable to a PC or Terminal To attach a serial console cable, follow these steps: Connect the cable from the Cisco SFS 7000P serial console to your terminal or Step 1 management workstation using the rollover serial cable. Rack-Mounting the Cisco SFS 7000P Switch Rack-Mounting the Switch To rack-mount the Cisco SFS 7000P switch in a rack, follow these steps: Remove the switch, rack brackets, CD-ROM, parts bag, and documentation from Step 1 the box. Place the switch on a secure, clean surface.
