Explanation of symbols displayed on the unit

Remove all packaging from inside the carton, along with any inserts placed into the side louvers.
ELECTRONIC CONTROL
Before you begin, thoroughly familiarize yourself with the control panel and remote control and all its functions (as shown below). The unit can be controlled by the touch pad alone, or with the remote control.
REMOTE CONTROL
Battery Size: AAA
Do not mix old and new batteries. Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon-zinc), or rechargeable (nickel-cadmium) batteries.
Caution for ingestion. Keep out of the reach of children.
Note: Some feature can only be controlled by control panel.
NOTE
The following instructions represent the touch pad. The same instructions can be used for the remote control.
TO TURN UNIT ON:

NOTE: The unit will run in Eco(energy saver) mode when powered on each time, if last shutdown is in cool or Eco(energy saver) mode. In this mode, the fan will continue to run for 3 minutes after compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 120 seconds at 10 minutes intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on.
TO CHANGE TEMPERATURE SETTING:

Note: The display will show the set temperature during normal operation, press either up ( + ) or down ( – ) button to adjust the set temperature to the desired setting. The unit will beep twice if the temperature up ( + ) or down ( – ) button is pressed continuously when the set temperature reaches the upper/lower limits 90°F or 60°F.

Note: Fan starts at High Speed and adjusts to a slower speed the room temperature dictates. For example, if the room doesn't get too warm, it will stay at the slowest speed. If the room temperature rises quickly, such as a door being opened, it will automatically go to the highest speed. The fan speeds will re-adjust back to the slowest speed as the room returns to the original set temperature. Press the fan button to adjust the fan speed manually.
TO OPERATE ON FAN ONLY:

Note: Use this function only when cooling is not desired, such as for room air circulation or to exhaust stale air on some models. You can choose any fan speed you prefer. (Except "Auto Fan"). During this function, display will only show the actual room temperature and the set temperature can not be changed.
COOL FEATURE:

Note: In this mode, the fan remains on all the time with the compressor cycling on and off when room temperature is reached.
DRY FEATURE:
YOU WILL SEE:
Note: In this mode, the air conditioner will work like a dehumidifier, but it will cool the room down meanwhile. The temperature can be adjusted between 62°F (17°C) and 86°F (30°C) and fan speed will be held at Auto speed.
Eco (ENERGY SAVER) MODE:
YOU WILL SEE:
The unit is factory set to run in Eco (energy saver) mode. We recommend leaving the unit in Eco mode to help save energy and money. However, if you would like to switch out of Eco mode, press the mode button until another mode is selected.
In Eco mode, the fan will continue to run for 3 minutes after the compressor shuts off. The fan then cycles on for 120 seconds at 10 minutes intervals until the room temperature is above the set temperature, at which time the compressor turns back on.
NOTE:
Please note, that if the unit is changed to 'Cool' or 'Fan only' mode then shut off, the unit will turn back on in Eco mode. This is mandatory per government regulations. If the unit is changed to 'Cool' or 'Fan Only' mode and a power failure occurs, once the power is restored the unit will return to 'Cool' or 'Fan Only' mode.
TO ACTIVATE THE CHILD LOCK FEATURE:

Note: Press and hold the "Mode" button for 3 sec can activate or deactivate the LOCK function. The display will show LC for 5 secs. The control panel will be lock and the setting can not be changed.
CHECK DUST FILTER FEATURE:
Note: This feature is a reminder to clean the Dust Filter (See Care and Cleaning) for more efficient operation. The LED (light) will illuminate after 250 hours of operation. To reset after cleaning the filter, hold the "Fan" button 3 seconds and the light will go off.

PUREAIRTM FILTER (sold separately):
This unit has available space for use of PureAir TM Filters(sold separately). There are different types of PureAirTM Filters, which are sold separately. You can purchase PureAir Filters by scanning QR code behind the air inlet grille or by visiting Frigidaire.com or by calling the Frigidaire Customer Service Center 1-800-944-9044(US) / 1-800-265-8352 (Canada).
PUREAIRTM FILTER INDICATOR:
Note: If the PureAirTM filter is installed the PureAirTM Filter indicator will glow white.
RESET PUREAIRTM FILTER LIGHT:
After 1440 hours of operation the PureAirTM Filter indicator will turn red. To reset, replace with new PureAirTM Filter, then hold the "Sleep" button 3 for seconds.
SLEEP FEATURE:
YOU WILL SEE:
Note: The display will show SL for 3 secs. The display and indicator lights will turn down 25%.
In this mode, the unit will select Auto fan speed automatically, and the selected temperature will increase by 2°F 30 minutes after the mode is selected. The temperature will then increase by another 2°F after an additional 30 minutes. This new temperature will be maintained for 7 hours before it returns to the originally selected temperature. This ends the "Sleep" mode and the unit will continue to operate as originally programmed. The "Sleep" mode program can be canceled at any time during operation by pressing the "Sleep" again, "Fan speed" or "Mode" button.
DIMMING DISPLAY:
After 60 seconds of control inactivity the display and indicator lights will turn off. Press any button on the control panel or remote control and the display will resume. Please note that if the unit is in Eco mode and the set temperature has been reached the unit may appear off. However, the unit is on and will continue to sample the air every 10 minutes. To confirm, press any button on the control panel or remote control to illuminate the display to show unit in Eco mode.
TO ACTIVATE TIMER FEATURE:

Note: For Delay Stop or Start, press the Timer button when the unit is in the On or Off position. Then tap or hold the " − " or " + " button to change delay timer at 0.5 hour increments, up to 10 hours, then at 1 hour increments up to 24 hours. After 5 seconds, the control will count down the time remaining until Stop or Start (8, 7.5, 7, etc.).
Pressing the unit On/Off button at any time will cancel the Delay Start/Stop function. Or press the timer button for 2 seconds
TO CHANGE THE TEMPERATURE SCALE (°F OR °C):

Note: The control is capable of displaying temperature in degrees Fahrenheit or degrees Celsius.

Note: After the unit is turned off, the light on the display will gradually fade away in 3 seconds. The unit will always return to "eco" mode and "auto" fan speed setting when it is turned on again.
When below error code show on the display, please contact your Authorized Frigidaire Service Center.

EH60 | Indoor ambient temperature sensor is open/short circuited |
EH0b | Communication malfunction of main control board. |
Note: The error code will be separated to 2 part and shown in the display alternately in 1 second intervals, for example, when the fault code "EH00" occur, the panel will first display "EH" for 1 sec, then display "00" for another sec and keep repeatedly showing "EH" and "00" until the issue is solved. Please contact your Authorized Frigidaire Service Center.

Now that you have mastered the operating procedure, here are more features in your control that you should become familiar with.
NOTE
The "Cool" circuit has an automatic 3 minutes time delayed start if the unit is turned off and on quickly. This prevents overheating of the compressor and possible circuit breaker tripping. The fan will continue to run during this time.
Fresh Air Vent Control (on some models)
The Fresh Air Vent allows the air conditioner to:
Air Directional Louvers
Air directional louvers control air flow direction. Your air conditioner has the louver type described below.
Slider Type
The louvers will allow you to direct the air flow Up or Down and Left or Right throughout the room as needed. Drag the adjuster lever until the desired Left/Right direction is obtained. Pivot horizontal louvers until the desired Up/Down direction is obtained.
Clean your air conditioner occasionally to keep it looking new. Be sure to unplug the unit before cleaning to prevent shock or fire hazards.
Dust Filter Cleaning
The Dust filter should be checked at least once a month to see if cleaning is necessary. Trapped particles in the Dust filter can build up and cause an accumulation of frost on the cooling coils.
NOTE: When replacing the Dust filter after cleaning, make sure the tabs on the air filter are on the upper part of filter, and placed outward as shown in the drawing on the left side.

To install the PureAirTM Filter:
Note: If the PureAirTM filter is installed properly the PureAirTM Filter indicator will glow white. Otherwise reinstall the filter.
The PureAirTM filter should be replace with a new one after its service life is reached. To remove the filter grape the tab on the left upper corner and pull out.
Winter Storage
If you plan to store the air conditioner during the winter, remove it carefully from the window according to the installation instructions. Cover it with plastic or return it to the original carton.
Cabinet Cleaning
Before calling for service, review this list. It may save you time and expense. This list includes common occurrences that are not the result of defective workmanship or materials in this appliance.

Electrical Information
The complete electrical rating of your new room air conditioner is stated on the serial plate. Refer to the rating when checking the electrical requirements.
Avoid fire hazard or electric shock. Do not use an extension cord or an adaptor plug. Do not remove any prong from the power cord.
Grounding type wall receptacle
NOTE
The power supply cord with this air conditioner contains a current detection device designed to reduce the risk of fire. Please refer to the section 'Operation of Current Device' for details. In the event that the power supply cord is damaged, it cannot be repaired. It must be replaced with a cord from the product manufacturer.
