Dynamic Virtual Tunnel Interface. A DVTI is a routable interface that is able to
selectively send traffic to different destinations. DVTIs are not statically mapped
to physical interfaces. Thus they are able to send and receive encrypted data over
any physical interface.
Routing that adjusts automatically to network topology or traffic changes. Also
called adaptive routing.

operating efficiency, and combines the advantages of link state protocols with
those of distance vector protocols.
