Environmental requirements and specifications
This section describes the environmental requirements and specifications for the
DS5020 storage subsystem, including temperature and humidity, altitude, airflow
and heat dissipation, shock and vibration requirements, and acoustic noise levels.
Temperature and humidity
Table 6 lists the acceptable temperature and humidity ranges for the DS5020
Storage Subsystem when in storage or in transit. Table 7 lists temperature and
humidity ranges for the storage subsystem in typical Information Technology (IT) or
office environments. Table 8 lists temperature and humidity ranges for the storage
subsystem in a NEBS/ETSI compliant environment.
