IBM BladeCenter HS22
IBM Redbooks Product Guide
The IBM BladeCenter HS22 is a two-socket blade server running Intel Xeon processors. It is ideal for
mainstream business applications including as a virtualization engine, and is compatible with the IBM
BladeCenter H, E, S, and HT chassis. The HS22 supports up to two Intel Xeon 5500 or 5600 series
multi-core processors, 12 DIMMs modules, two hot-swap drives, two PCI Express connectors, and one
internal USB connector for embedded virtualization.
The HS22 is shown in Figure 1.

IBM memory specifications are integrated into the light path diagnostics for immediate system performance feedback and optimum system uptime.
