  • Page 3 Introduction This document is intended to help you make a fast, safe and trouble-free installation of the Honeywell Voice Controlled Thermostat. The thermostat works as a normal programmable thermostat, but when connected to a Wi-Fi network it accepts a whole range of voice commands, which is constantly being expanded and improved.

    Step 3: Initial setup Upon initial power up, or after being reset to factory defaults, the initial thermostat options (language, boiler cycle rate, minimum on- time) must be set to define the heating system. Other options can be customised later. Follow prompts on the screen to select appropriate options.
  • Page 17 Choose the appropriate Minimum On/Off Time for the installation. Use the arrows to select the value then touch Done. The thermostat now displays an option to connect to the Wi-Fi network. For details go to Step 5: Connecting to a Wi-Fi network.

    After the initial setup, walk the homeowner through connecting to a Wi-Fi network. Alternatively, refer them to the online User Guide at: www.getconnected.honeywell.com so the homeowner can connect the thermostat to a Wi-Fi network at a later time. 5.1 Connect to the Wi-Fi network.

  • Page 22 Step 6: Registering the thermostat with Honeywell The homeowner must create an account and register the thermostat in order to allow automatic time/date setting and weather updates. Once registered, the ‘Total Connect Comfort Europe’ smartphone or tablet app can be downloaded to give the homeowner access to the Voice Controlled Thermostat from anywhere.
