Configuring and Managing Zones
The active zone set is not part of the full zone set. You cannot make changes to an existing zone set and
activate it if the full zone set is lost or is not propagated.
Copying an active zone set to a full zone set may overwrite a zone with the same name if it already exists
Caution
in the full zone set database.
Copying Zone Sets
On Cisco SAN switches, you cannot edit an active zone set. However, you can copy an active zone set to
create a new zone set that you can edit.

Zone Set Duplication
Purpose
Makes a copy of the active zone set in
the specified VSAN to the full zone set.
Copies the active zone in the specified
VSAN to a remote location using SCP.
Purpose
Enters global configuration mode.
Renames a zone set in the specified
VSAN.
