    1. Get started Insert the UIM card and battery Note: Always switch off the power and disconnect the charger and any other device before removing the cover. Avoid touching electronic components while changing the cover. Always store and use the device with the cover attached.

    Use only compatible microSD cards approved by Nokia for use with this device. Your device supports microSD cards up to 16 GB. Nokia uses approved industry standards for memory cards, but some brands may not be fully compatible with this device.     Standby mode and shortcuts Generally, instructions in this guide start from the standby mode except when specifically indicated. To go to the standby mode, press the power key. Depending on your wireless service provider, some or all of the following selection keys may appear in the standby mode.

    Keyguard The keyguard locks the keypad to prevent accidental key presses. When the keypad is locked, calls still may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device.
