Section 1 Installation 1-1. Overview of Installation 1-1-1. Cautions before Installation The Hard Disk Drives (HDD) are installed in XDS-PD1000. The HDD is a precision part. The causes such as shock, vibration and static electricity to the unit, and the conditions of temperature and humidity may damage HDD or its data.

1-5. Installation Space When installing, the installation space must be secured in consideration of the ventilation and service operation. . Do not block the fan exhaust areas (rear panel and rear part of the right side panel) and vents (front panel, front lower part, and front right and left ends) with objects.

Rack Mounting Procedure Removing the feet 1. Remove the four screws, lift the unit with both hands, and then remove the four feet together with foot brackets. Be sure to carry the unit by the two persons B4 x 6 B4 x 6 or more.
