9. Security Definitions
The security section enlists certain factors to protect the integrity of the E-Meter during
installation and operation. The users at all time shall be aware about data security and
integrity of the meter parts such as firmware, hardware and front panel display. Kindly adhere
to the highest standards during meter operation and installation.

9.1. Calibration and Tests

Calibration
9.1.1.
The E-Mon meters are intended for factory installation only. The terminals have not
been evaluated for field-wiring applications.
The meters have been evaluated for use in Overvoltage Category III and intended to be
installed on the load side of suitable branch circuit protection.
Testing
9.1.2.
The accuracy of the measurement function of the components has been investigated
under ANSI C12.20.
These meters have been tested for operation between -40°C to 70°C ambient
temperature. Additional testing is necessary if the meter is used outside the given
temperature range.
These meters have not been tested for tamper resistance for general operation.
Provide tamper detection, tamper resistance, or take measures to seal the meters, it
shall be determined in the final application.
