7. Press the ON button; the red light
will go on and brewing will start. If
the End-of-Brewing signal is on, an
audible tone will sound when
brewing is complete and coffee is
ready. (See page 13, "How to Turn
On and Off End-of-Brewing/
Decalcification Signal.")
8. When brewing is completed the
Warming Plate will hold coffee at
serving temperature (about 180°F)
for two hours; the red light will stay
on. The "Time Since Brewing"
Indicators show the time since coffee
was brewed in 30-minute
increments. At the end of two hours,
the coffee maker will shut off
automatically and the red light will
go off. If you wish to keep the coffee
hot for a longer period, push the ON
button again. (Note: The "Time
Since Brewing" Indicators will be
reset.)
9. When making several carafes of
coffee, always turn the coffee maker
off and allow to cool for five minutes
before starting the next carafe.
NOTE: Several indications that your
coffee maker needs to be decalcified:
• An audible tone sounds during
brewing (if you have turned on the
End-of-Brewing/Decalcification
Signal, see page 13) and water
remains in the Water Tank.
• It takes longer than 10 minutes to
