Please take a couple of minutes to read and become familiar with the advantages of your washing machine. To meet the high quality demands of the Bosch brand, each washing machine, which leaves our factory, is inspected thoroughly to ensure that it functions properly and is in perfect condition.
Intended use B e f o r e wa s h i n g Ø For use in the household only. Ø The washing machine is suitable for washing machine- washable textiles and hand-washable wool in wash liquor. Ø The washing machine is suitable to be operated with cold drinking water and commercially available detergents and care products which are suitable for use in washing machines.

Protection of the environment Packaging/Old appliance Dispose of packaging in an environmentally friendly manner. Detergent drawer Intelligent Dosing System (i-DOS): Your washing machine features an intelligent dosing system for liquid detergent and softener. Dispensers i-DOS (1.3 l) and i-DOS (0.5 l) in the detergent drawer are used for this. You can select whether you want to use one liquid detergent and one softener or two liquid detergents.

Washing During the wash cycle the programme progress is indicated by a bar on the display panel. The bar progresses in the course of the wash cycle and provides information about the current programme progress. The arrows are switched on and off according to the programme progress.

Programme settings/options Depending on the programme, you can use the programme options to adjust the washing process even more efficiently to your items of washing. Automatic stain treatment General information about stains ² The Stains additional programme option for treating special stains can be found via the Options button. A total of 16 different stains can be selected. The washing machine adjusts the washing temperature, drum movement and soaking time specific to the type of stain.
Intelligent Dosing System Your washing machine features an intelligent dosing system for liquid detergent and softener. Dispensers i-DOS (1.3 l) and i-DOS (0.5 l) in the detergent drawer are used for this. You can select whether you want to use one liquid detergent and one softener or two liquid detergents.

² When selecting your detergent and care product, follow the instructions of the manufacturers. We recommend the use of standard, universal and color liquid and gel-like detergents for all machine-washable, coloured textiles made of cotton and synthetic materials. Ø Use only self-flowing liquid products and gels which the manufacturer recommends adding to a detergent drawer.

Ø Reloading detergent/softener The flashing of the associated illuminated display when intelligent dosage is selected and a corresponding message on the display panel indicate that the level is below the minimum. There are still enough contents for approx. 3 washes. The same detergent or softener can be topped up at any time.

Ø If intensive foaming occurs repeatedly during washing, please check the basic dosage setting and dosage strength. Furthermore, some liquid detergents may have a tendency to excessive foaming. If the basic dosage settings and dosage strengths are correct, it is recommended to use a different liquid detergent.

Sensors – Your washing machine is so intelligent Load adjust Depending on the type of textile and load, the load adjust optimally adjusts the water consumption in each programme. Aqua-Sensor During the wash and rinse cycles the Aqua sensor checks the degree of turbidity (turbidity is caused by dirt and detergent residue) of the washing and rinsing water.

i-Dos Clean the detergent drawer Ø Drain dispensers The dispensers have drainage openings with removable stoppers in the front area. To drain the dispensers, first remove the drawer handle as illustrated: 1. Open detergent drawer. 2. 3. Press release lever and completely remove drawer. 4. Carefully remove drawer cover. ã Caution! Detergent drawer may be damaged! The detergent drawer contains electrical components. They may be damaged if they come into contact with water. – Do not clean the cover in the dishwasher and do not immerse in water.

Drain pump blocked ã Warning! Danger of scalding! Wash liquor is hot when washing at high temperatures. You may be scalded if you touch the hot wash liquor. Allow wash liquor to cool down. ² Turn the tap off to prevent more water from flowing in and to ensure that it is drained via the pump.

Insert service flap (1), engage (2) and close (3). ² To prevent unused detergent from flowing into the outlet during the next wash cycle: Pour approx. 1 litre of water into dispenser and start the Drain programme. Drainage hose on the siphon blocked Switch off the appliance.

Remove hose from the rear of the appliance. Take out filter with pliers and clean. Connect the hose and check for leaks.
Emergency lock release, e.g. if power failure occurs The programme continues running when the power supply is restored. Installing the appliance on a base or on a wooden joist ceiling ã Warning! Washing machine may be damaged!! The washing machine may wander during the spin cycle and topple/fall off the base. Always secure the washing machine feet with fixing brackets.
Remove transportation protection devices ã Caution! Washing machine may be damaged! Transit bolts which have not been removed may damage e.g. the drum while the washing machine is running. Before using the appliance for the first time, remove the 4 transportation protection devices completely and keep in a safe place.

Alignment Loosen lock nut in a clockwise direction with a wrench. Check alignment of the washing machine with a spirit level and, if required, correct.
