Ensuring functional safety 5.3 Unpacking Unpacking NOTICE Transport damage impairs the correct function of the geared motor Never commission faulty or defective geared motors. Check the geared motor for completeness and for damage. Report any missing parts or damage immediately. Keep the connector protection cap of the rotary encoder on the connector until you connect the rotary encoder to a suitable encoder evaluation unit.
