Remove the Cisco 7301 router from the rack, if it is rack-mounted.

1 Captive installation screws
Turn the Cisco 7301 so that the back is facing you.
Step 5
Using a Phillips screwdriver, loosen the three captive installation screws holding the cover to the chassis.
Step 6
Pull the cover toward you, away from the front of the router, and lift off the cover.
