Summary of VSI Commands

Interpreting the Messages

After using the cnfcdparm command to either enable or disable VC Merge, the messages that are
displayed after execution are described in Table 23-17.

Displaying the Status of VC Merge

After VC Merge is either enabled or disabled, enter the dspcdparm command to view the current status
of VC Merge:
Last Command: dspcdparm 5 2
When the applicable slot number is selected, the Card Parameters summary appears to indicate whether
VC Merge is enabled or disabled.
If the slot specified does not support VC Merge,
Parameters summary.

Description
The request to enable or disable VC Merge cannot be sent to the
BXM card.
The BXM card rejects the request to enable or disable VC Merge.
The BXM card did not respond to the request to enable or disable
VC Merge.
Description
Attaches a controller to a node; for controllers that require Annex G capabilities
in the controller interface. Add a PNNI VSI controller to a BPX node through an
AAL5 interface shelf.
Adds a trunk between the hub node and interface shelf or VSI MPLS controller.
Configures the Qbin card. If you answer Yes when prompted, the command will
use the card Qbin values from the Qbin templates.
Configures the resources, for example, for Automatic Routing Management
PVCs and MPLS controller (LSC).
Configures the VSI Interface or a different template to an interface.
Configure VSI partition characteristics for VSI ILMI.
Deletes a controller, such as a Service Expansion Shelf (SES) PNNI controller,
from a BPX node.
Deletes a trunk between a hub node and access shelf.
