Usage Guidelines
To use this command, you must be in a user group associated with a task group that includes appropriate task
IDs. If the user group assignment is preventing you from using a command, contact your AAA administrator
for assistance.
The UNI name should be unique among all UNIs that are part of a given Ethernet Virtual Connection (EVC).
When the Ethernet Local Management Interface (E-LMI) protocol is running on the UNI, the name specified
in the ethernet uni id command is advertised by E-LMI to the Customer Edge (CE) device. It is also carried
in Ethernet Connectivity Fault Management (CFM) Continuity Check Messages (CCMs) if there is an Up
MEP on the UNI, and passed to E-LMI on the peer MEP so that it can be advertised to the remote CE device.
