Click Smart Software Licensing (in the License section.)
Step 3
Sign in to the Cisco Smart Software Manager.

Click Inventory.
Step 5
Click General.
Step 6
Click New Token.
Step 7
For Description, enter a name that uniquely and clearly identifies the Firepower Management Center for
which you will use this token.
Step 8
Enter an expiration time within 365 days. This determines how much time you have to register the token to
a Firepower Management Center.
Step 9
Click Create Token.
Step 10
Locate your new token in the list and click Actions, then choose Copy or Download.
Step 11
Save your token in a safe place until you are ready to enter it into your Firepower Management Center.

Before you begin
• Ensure that the FMC can reach the Cisco Smart Software Manager (CSSM) server at tools.cisco.com:443.
• Make sure the FMC has established a connection with an NTP server. During registration, a key exchange
