Type of protection Ex t and Ex ec
Explosion hazard
The devices that are operated with the types of protection Ex t "Dust protection through
enclosure" or Ex ec "Increased safety" are not designed for introducing combustible to
occasionally explosive gas mixtures. Otherwise there is a danger of explosion.
Therefore:
• For operation with the types of protection Ex t or Ex ec introduce only non-combustible
• Close all open connections, such as purging gas connections, gas-tight.
