Reset the Terminal
If the terminal completely stops responding, you may need to perform a Factory Reset (Clean Boot). Because a Factory
Reset can result in data loss, use this method only if all other recovery methods have failed. All personal content is erased
(e.g., emails, pictures, contacts) and factory default settings are restored when a factory reset is performed.
Caution: A Factory Reset (Clean Boot) erases the memory in the terminal, including all applications and data
files, with the exception of those found in the Flash File Store or any removable storage.
1. Touch Settings
on the Apps list screen.
2. Touch about, and then select reset your phone.
3. Touch Yes, and then Yes again to confirm restoring the factory settings.
4. Once the terminal resets, the set up Welcome screen appears.
To perform a Factory Reset if your touchscreen is unresponsive and all other recovery methods have failed:
1. Press and hold the Volume Down
and Power
buttons simultaneously until a large exclamation mark appears
on the screen.
2. Press the following buttons in this order: Volume Up
> Volume Down
> Power
> Volume Down
.
3. Once the terminal resets, the set up Welcome screen appears.
