After you install Windows 2000 Service Pack 4, you will need to install device
drivers; they are provided in either the C:\IBMTOOLS\DRIVERS or the
C:\SWTOOLS\DRIVERS directory on your hard disk drive. To see how to
install them, refer to Installing device drivers. You will also need to install
application software which is provided in either the C:\IBMTOOLS\APPS or
the C:\SWTOOLS\APPS directory on your hard disk drive.
If you cannot find the Supplement files, device drivers, and application
software you need on your hard disk drive, or if you want to receive updates
and the latest information about them, refer to the ThinkPad Web site at

TI CardBus Controller Support
If your computer does not have a 1394 port, follow the instructions.
1. Open the System Properties window.
2. Click the Hardware tab.
3. Click the Device Manager button. The Device Manager window opens.
4. Double-click the PCMCIA adapter. If "Generic CardBus Controller" is
listed, go to the next step. If it is not listed, you do not need to install TI
CardBus Controller Support. Stop this procedure.
5. Download TI PCI 1520/4520 CardBus Controller Support for Windows
98/2000 from the Web site, and follow the instructions in the readme file.

Installing the Windows 2000 Update Module Package
The Windows 2000 Update Modules are in one of the following directories:
C:\IBMTOOLS\OSFIXES\W2KUP
or
C:\SWTOOLS\OSFIXES\W2KUP
The name of each subfolder is the number of a fix module. For information
about each fix module, visit the Microsoft Knowledge Base homepage at
http://support.microsoft.com/, type the number of the fix module you need
in the search field, and click the Search button.
Note: The Web site address might change without notice. If the homepage is
not displayed, search for it from the Microsoft top page.
To install a fix module, run the .exe file in a subfolder and follow the
instructions on the screen.
