Adjust the grass shield to assure proper grass clipping discharge into the basket.
1. Park the machine on a level surface. Ensure that the engine is OFF and
the traction control is in NEUTRAL.
2. Remove the spark plug wire from the engine spark plug.
3. Place 1.5 mm (0.06 inch) shim between the reel assembly and grass shield.
Note: The shield can be lowered for drier conditions (clippings fly over top
of the basket) or raised to allow for heavy wet grass conditions (clippings
build up on rear of the basket).
4. Loosen the bolts that secures each end of the shield to the side plates.
Adjust the shield to the correct height and tighten the fasteners.
5. Attach the spark plug wire to the engine spark plug.
