Optical System
This camera is a three-chip color video camera equipped with 2/3-type "Exmor" CMOS full HD (1920 × 1080) image
sensors.

BI-254 Board/BI-256 Board
The BI-254 boards are used for R and B channels and the BI-256 board is used for the G channel.
These boards supply power, bias, and sync signal to the CMOS image sensors (IC1) and transmit the image pickup
signal to the DPR-373 board. Each of these boards is provided with a power connector (CN1), a signal input/output fine-
wire coaxial connector (CN2), various decoupling capacitors, and damping resistors.
The CMOS image sensor converts R/G/B light dispersed by the prism to an electrical signal. The internal A/D converter
converts the electrical signal to a digital signal and outputs the digital signal. Furthermore, these boards are equipped
with functions as an electronic shutter, an analog gain amplifier, and a black level clamp. The output digital video signal
is sent to the DPR-373 board through the EMI filters (FL1 to FL7).
The sync signal and the serial communication signal that are sent from the DPR-373 board are input to the CMOS image
sensors.
<BI-256 Board>
The temperature sensor (IC3) sends temperature data to the PLD (IC300) on the DPR-373 board through the I
Production adjustment data specific to the CMOS block is retained in the EEPROM (IC4) and is read by the PLD (IC300)
as needed.
