PortChannel interfaces provide configuration options for both Gigabit Ethernet and Fibre Channel.

However, based on the PortChannel membership, only Gigabit Ethernet parameters or Fibre Channel
parameters are applicable.

Configuring Ethernet PortChannels

The PortChannel configuration specified in
Ethernet PortChannel configurations.
To configure Ethernet PortChannels, follow these steps:

Ethernet PortChannel Scenario
Switch 1
45-4, Gigabit Ethernet ports 3 and 4 in slot 9 are aggregated into an Ethernet PortChannel.

Purpose
Enters configuration mode.
Configures the specified PortChannel (10).
Enters the IPv4 address (10.1.1.1) and subnet
mask (255.255.255.0) for the PortChannel.

Configures the specified Gigabit Ethernet
interface (slot 9, port 3).
Adds Gigabit Ethernet interfaces 9/3 to channel
group 10. If channel group 10 does not exist, it
is created. The port is shut down.
Enables the selected interface.
