You can identify a syslog server to automatically capture and receive event logs
for remote network management by performing these steps:
From the main screen, choose Diagnostics.
Choose Event log.
Choose Syslog server.
Enter the IP address or host name of the network management system you want
to designate as the syslog server.
You can identify the syslog facility used on messages sent to the syslog server.
To choose the syslog facility, perform these steps:
From the main screen, choose Diagnostics.
Choose Event log.
Choose Syslog facility.
Choose one of the available options, including kernel, user, and several local
options. Work with a Cisco technical representative to determine the best options
to choose.
