10. Install the cover (see "Installing the cover" on page 130).
11. Slide the server into the rack.
12. Reconnect the power cord and any cables that you removed.
13. Turn on the peripheral devices and the server.
Hard disk drive
Locate the documentation that comes with the hard disk drive and follow those
instructions in addition to the instructions in this section.
Attention:
server cover is in place and fully closed whenever you install or remove a hard disk
drive.
Note: If a RAID controller or adapter is installed, you might have to reconfigure the
disk arrays after you install or remove hard disk drives. See the documentation that
comes with the adapter for more information.
Removing a simple-swap Serial ATA (SATA) hard disk drive
Attention:
power from the server before you remove or install a simple-swap hard disk drive.
To remove a simple-swap SATA drive from the bay, complete the following steps.

When you install an adapter, make sure that the adapter is
correctly seated in the riser-card assembly and that the riser-card assembly is
securely seated in the riser-card connectors on the system board before you
turn on the server. An incorrectly seated adapter might cause damage to the
system board, the riser-card assembly, or the adapter.
To avoid damage to the hard disk drive connectors, make sure that the
