Example
The following example sets the time interval during which the device waits for a
response to an EAP request frame from the client before resending the request to
3600 seconds.

22.11 dot1x timeout server-timeout

Use the dot1x timeout server-timeout Interface Configuration (Ethernet) mode
command to set the time interval during which the device waits for a response
from the authentication server. Use the no form of this command to restore the
default configuration.
Syntax
dot1x timeout server-timeout
no dot1x timeout server-timeout
Parameters
seconds
server-timeout
device waits for a response from the authentication server. (Range: 1–65535
seconds)
Default Configuration
The default timeout period is 30 seconds.

User Guidelines
The actual timeout period can be determined by comparing the value specified by
the dot1x timeout server-timeout command to the result of multiplying the number
of retries specified by the
period specified by the
