Customer Support Functions
Function Description
10.4.1
The firmware is able to execute and provide certain diagnostic and test functions. These functions are deacti-
vated by default. It is only necessary to activate these functions via the diagnostic function if you assume the
device is not working as expected and you contacted the Siemens Energy Customer Support Center to get
additional diagnostic information on the device status (see chapter

Activate Diagnostic Function 2 – Test Functions via Modbus TCP
It is possible to use Modbus TCP to access various test functions via the holding register. With the default
settings, these test functions are deactivated. Read/write access to the Modbus register is not allowed. If
access to the associated Modbus register is requested, the error exception code 02 returns, stating:
ILLEGAL_DATA_ADDRESS.

Diagnosis
