Installing and Removing FRUs
Step 4
Grasp the ejector levers of the TCC card and pull it out of the slot until you can grab the carrier faceplate.
Do not touch the printed circuit board components or the connector pins.

Grasp the front panel of the TCC card with one hand and carefully pull the TCC card straight out of the
slot.
Step 6
Place the TCC card on an antistatic mat or antistatic foam, or immediately install it in another slot.
Blank faceplates and cover panels serve three important functions: they prevent exposure to

hazardous voltages and currents inside the chassis; they contain electromagnetic interference
(EMI) that might disrupt other equipment; and they direct the flow of cooling air through the
chassis. Do not operate the system unless all cards, faceplates, front covers, and rear covers are
in place. Statement 1029
Step 7
If the slot is to remain empty, install a TCC blank panel (part number RFGW-TCC-COVER=).

This section describes how to remove and install the DS-48 line cards.
Note
Always use a wrist-strap or other grounding device to prevent ESD damage while handling the DS-48
line card.
Installing the DS-48 Line Card
The Cisco RFGW-10 UEQAM has vertical chassis slots numbered from left to right. The DS-48 line
cards can be installed only in Slot 3 through 13.
Caution
During this procedure, wear grounding wrist-straps to avoid ESD damage to the card. Do not directly
touch the backplane with your hand or any metal tool. This could result in an electric shock.
Caution
To prevent ESD damage, handle the DS-48 line card by the carrier edges only. Do not touch any of the
RF connectors along the back of the card.
