Create a

Instead of changing a read-out parameterization, you can also adapt a new parameterization from
the templates. Proceed as follows (the steps are basically the same as before)
Step
Create new / default device parameterization

Highlight the device

Select the action New parameterization.
In the appearing dialog, if possible, select the option "Copy from product
parameterization" to use a product parameterization as a template using the

selection menu, otherwise or alternatively select "From scratch" (no template) to
obtain a largely unedited template (parameter tree) for your device.
Edit the device parameterization according to the following instructions in this text or
use the online help to obtain additional information.

(Remove all unused AFBs from the parameter tree. Set unused input or output to
"Unused" in the parameterization)

Save the device parameterization using a suitable name.

You can sometimes select operating modes or add or delete functions
Example: Converting the operating mode of a board channel, e.g. for changing from
New functions or changed operating modes require additional parameters which
are then made available for editing in a new subordinate branch. Any such structural
changes to a parameterization are only possible using offline parameterization.
The tabular listing of parameters in the parameter window has several columns. The name of the
parameter (Parameter name column) depends on the selected language. You can see the current
value of the parameter in the Value column; here, changes can be made.
